Mindfulness (MfS) has roots in Buddhism. It is an approach that helps shift your thoughts away from your usual preoccupations toward creating a meaningful connection and appreciation of the moment and further of your life. It guides you to accept your life experiences, including painful emotions, rather than react to them with dislike and avoidance.

The goal of practicing is to achieve a status of alert, focus relaxation by deliberately paying attention to your thoughts and sensations without judgment. As Eckhard Tolle sa id, “In today’s rush, we all think too much, seek too much, want too much, and forget about the joy of just being.”

MfS offers you the opportunity to learn how to calm your mind, connect with yo ur body and bodily sensations, teaching you life skills on relaxation and breathing.

This therapy is good for anyone who cares to adopt a calm mind, a relaxed body and meaningful relationships. It helps those with mental health problems in the treatment of depression, anxiety disorders, substance abuse, eating disorder, obsessive-compulsive disorder, couple conflicts and more.

Practicing MfS improves a person’s overall wellbeing by learning how to fully engage in activities, savor simple pleasures and better face difficult life events. MfS helps in creating an authentic relationship with ourselves and the people around us; in improving memory; increasing concentration and attention; reducing the symptoms of depression and insomnia; dealing with stressful situations and in the regulation of addictive behaviors (eg alcoholism, overeating).

It also benefits greatly people with physical difficulties as it relieves stress, lowers blood pressure, reduces chronic pain, decreases gastrointestinal difficulties and improves sleep.
